We were lucky enough to be invited to a members only event this weekend at the upscale development Christophe Harbor on the island of St. Kitts. With a Mega Yacht Marina, a new Park Hyatt Hotel opening in March of 2017 (dubbed one of the “most highly anticipated hotel openings of the year”) and a future Tom Fazio designed golf course, St. Kitts is the undiscovered gem of the Caribbean.
The renderings on the website look absolutely breathtaking. With a main hotel, separate villas and even small cabanas this hotel looks like it will have something for everyone.
As with any trip to a new destination, I started doing some research on the island and I found out that there is more to St. Kitts than just beautiful beaches.
Belle Mont Farm, a groundbreaking resort on Kittitian Hill in St. Kitts, is fast making a name for itself in the sustainable resort sector without sacrificing luxury. This is truly a one of a kind hotel…click on the link to find out more about this incredible resort. I cannot wait to check it out!!
And what island has a train…well St. Kitts does. It was built in the 1900’s to transport sugar cane from the fields to the capital of Basseterre. Today the train takes tourists on a winding tour up the mountains for some pretty awesome views!! I always love to learn about the history of a destination and what makes it and it’s people special.
I look forward to sharing photos of my trip next week but here’s what I’m going in search of…
