This year we celebrated my husbands 50th birthday by dropping the kids off for camping and jumping on a plane down to Nashville to spend some responsibility free time with friends and family in a new city! So far it’s been the most amazing weekend that I may not return on my scheduled flight. We’ve taken in two shows and what I thought would be extreme heat (97 degrees) has been pleasantly tolerable.
Nevertheless I packed accordingly and focused on flow-y dresses that can go day to night with a simple change of shoes and easy breezy trendy pieces because after all – Taylor Swift is vacationing here with Tom Hiddleton and can’t run the risk of bumping into celebs unfashionably.
Arrival day: stepped off an early flight and we’re headed to brunch and meeting up with friends to map out the weekend. And in case you haven’t heard; Zara is on sale big time. I picked up these shorts for next to nothing and it pairs excellently with multiple tops and colors.
Evening show at Grand Ole Opry: with backstage passes and premiere seating I wanted to be sure to be chic but still summery. This Club Monaco Jumpsuit with Aquazurra Denim Espadrilles and Michino Phaedra Clutch was the perfect combo from going to hot exterior to cool air-conditioned interior.
Brunching, and touring the city: Zara Basic Long Printed Dress but I picked it because it’s floral without being over the top girly. Close-up of the floral print below.
